Single Origin: Small Shareholders
Tasting Notes: Dark Chocolate, Stone Fruit & Cane Sugar
This coffee comes from Cofradía de Chocolón a two-hour, dirt-road drive from the capital city of Tepic. Although it’s a small town, the area boasts spectacular views of the ocean and forests full of old coffee plantations. This region also celebrates the Los Huicholes, an ethnic group of artists who are famed for their yarn painting and beadwork depicting tradition. Through these crafts the visions and stories of the Huichol people are preserved and live on.
The Bourbon and Caturra trees that grow these coffees benefit from the lush forest environment. The coffee cherries are naturally and anaerobically processed, the resulting coffee is filled with exotic tropical and fruit flavors. We hope you can taste the history, hard work and dedication put in to this coffee.
