Tasting Notes: Sugared Plum and Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries
So honored to bring you this coffee from our friend Vikram. This is a Blue Mountain and Arusha varietal that comes to us from farmers in the Waghi Valley of the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea. They use their Kula processing method which is comprised of raised-bed drying, two rounds of color sorting, and two rounds of hand sorting. This results in a total of six stages of sorting after the parchment has been dried. This level of rigorous sorting results in a clean and crisp cup of exceptional coffee. They used proceeds from their coffee sales to build a school and offer education to children of the pickers, you can see from their smiling faces that they love the opportunity to learn.
